Well after 4 years and 75k the S3 has gone, been a great car but at 350+ bhp any further modifications were going to be seriously expensive, plus recently having to replace the DMF and performance clutch again after only 12 months/15k I wasn’t sure if I’d just been unlucky or I was reaching the limits of what they could take.

Early contenders were the RS4 and Bathurst S, but decided after 8 years of having an Audi as a daily driver it was time to try something different, and couldn’t find a manual Bathurst S for sale anywhere. Ended up with a tick against one of the cars in my dream garage; and the howl of a 6 rather than V8 rumble!

Spec includes X50 performance pack, Milltek system and headers, Aerokit, custom(marmite) colour.

Car came from Durham, so had a good run back via Yorkshire Moors, Whitby, Scarborough, Humber Bridge.

Thats lovely, the aerokit really does look good with the yellow. Did you try any for comparison without the X50 pack? If so how much difference did you notice?
Also what year and mileage did you get and if you don't mind me asking what sort of money did you pay? Just wandering if the yellow gives a better bargain in a similar way to non Rosso C does on some Ferraris.

Yep, I remember spotting you at the last minute; don't know what had been going on that day but you were in amongst 20 to 30 sports bikes heading into Dereham

To be honest didn't try a non X50 car, I decided I wanted either a manual Turbo with X50 and Aerokit or a manual Turbo S with Aerokit. This one came with the added bonus of Milltek system, headers and remap amongst the many other options fitted.
Plenty of choice from £25k if you want an early silver tiptronic Turbo; this one is an '04 which had 48k on the clock and cost £38k.

iluvmercs can testify to how quick the S3 was; this is in a totally differnet league, and as an added bonus I got a rebate on my insurance!

I was told thats the figure it has, but no facts to back the claim up. Erring well on the side of caution I would say 500 plus

You're back from the US of A then, surprising how quite it was without you at last Wednesday's ABS meet - but more sandwiches for everyone else! laugh
