Hi chaps - I hope you're keeping an eye on the website:
http://www.caringwithcars.com
Lots of new raffle prizes, cars and we are bringing in Mike Cooper of DriverTuition.com to give a talk on advanced driving.
We need a show of hands who is interested in the talk on the main thread:

I wouldn't mind attending this (just to see the Countach) but there seem to be an awful lot of cars registered. Is it like a field event and if so, is it going to be another mown grass harvest festival? Are there any child facilities?
There are 3 Countachs attending. The site this year is short grass fields and lawn adjoining the children's hospice and private school. We visited many other venues for 3 whole months, but cost and space implications scuppered them.
I'm not sure what you mean by 'harvest festival'.
The event is very much an informal affair and hopefully an enjoyable day out. It's free, there's nice cars going, we're all enthusiasts and it helps a great charity that's right next door to the event.
There is no baby changing area at the moment, but this is something we are looking at. Are there any facilities you specifically need? We are also looking into renting a bouncy castle if we can find a way to afford it.
No specific facilities.
To be honest, once my 5 year old sees boucy castles, the fizzle goes out of his car viewing capacity so the less the better. At the recent Pencoed show, he saw the rides and that was it...even after a sit in a Ferrari!
The grass had been mown and the copious cuttings left and the rain didn't really help. Suffice to say a double decker bus used for shelter during the rain ended up looking like a barn full of mown grass.
Will check with my Mrs for 9/7 availability.
Edit: Well it looks OK save my 5 year old son has to have both feet plastered as he walks on his toes but hopefully he will fit in the Mustang. Looks like we will be 5 persons so will have to bring a support car (God, I hate that thieving Bridge).
New issue - Sam wants Vipers not Lamborghinis!
