Road repairs Japan style
Discussion
Now imagine how long it takes to repair a pothole around South Wales. You'd think it would take a really long time to repair a road ripped apart after a Japanese earthquake and tsunami that devastated the country. How about this:
The picture of gaping chasms in a Japanese highway demonstrated the power of the March 11 earthquake. Now the astonishing speed of reconstruction is being used to highlight the nation’s ability to get back on its feet.
Work began on March 17 and six days later the cratered section of the Great Kanto Highway in Naka was as good as new.

Outside my house (Hull, A63, Daltry Street Flyover) they have been doing some roadworks (narrowing a slip road & putting in a cyclepath/footpath)
Started early December 2010 & was supposed to take 3 to 4 weeks
They are still doing it now!!!!
I have not had a footpath outside my house for nearly 4 month now!!!!
