In, ahem....., the amount of years I've been on this planet (& I'm not saying how manybiggrin) I have never seen anything quite like this..............
I knew the drive to work was going to be bad this morning on seeing a bus wrapped around a few signposts on Glynneath cross this morning, basically sheet ice all the way up to the workshop.

Oh well, it's given a thaw hasn't it???????????? Hasn't it???
It's been raining all morning & all that's happened is the rain, on hitting the ground, is freezing solideek Ice skating anyone? Head for Hirwaun!

I'm in Pontardawe and it's the same. It must have been the first night for weeks that the gritter hadn't been around. I couldn't even get the car off the drive. Mind you, that could be because it's a BMW.

will have to agree, this morning was deadly infact i was quite scared while i was driving as i just didnt know what to expect next.

saw a few crashes this morning also, even the main roads were bad which had been gritted, side roads must of been even worse.

hope we dont have sheet ice like that again, would much prefer the snow.

Both of my cars are now firmly stuck at the bottom of the hill. That was after unsticking my car from the drive with table salt. Didn't actually move an inch uphill. Then watched a transit van bump every car in my street. Gotta be 5 insurance claims in two minutes...gutted for that guy.

Is that first pic on the straight after the New Inn?
I drive over the Rhigos every day on my way to Swansea, glad it wasn't like this morning.
I spotted a nice new tyre eating pothole on the 465 this morning too at the top of Glynneath Bank on the inside lane heading south.

A couple more tyre eaters further along one significantly placed coming off Hirwaun Roundabout heading in the direction of Merthyr Tydfil, you see it late with little option to avoid

Given the number of potholes still left from last winter I can see the roads looking like those of a 3rd world coutry by the end of this one.
