Recommended roads mid wales

We have booked the Trout Inn by Beulah ,Llanwrtyd Wells as our base

Will be staying the friday night to make the most of the lovely roads around the area on the sat and sunday.

Aware of the Elan valleys and surround areas but Could you suggest some roads/area's worth taking in on our mid wales weekend out?

Just down the road from where you're staying is the B4519 at Upper Chapel. Very good road with nice views.

Another 'must drive' is the A4069 (between Llangadog and Brynamman) which is a favourite of car magazines and Top Gear! It's a bit further South, but worth the effort

Look out for sheep on both these routes!!

NO one else know of any good roads over in mid wales?

They're all pretty good TBH. You just have to include the ones above in your runs. Try the 4059, the 482 between the A40 & Aberaeron, the A44 from Aberystwyth.....
