Soap box derby ?

In the Spirit of never growing up and being childish.

Who fancies helping me arrange a soap box derby?

So to get the ball rolling for this childish event anyone got ideas , or any rich folk with big down hill driveways that would be happy for us to borrow for the day.

My idea would be something like....

1. A good hill where they would be happy for us to use for the day!
2. full UK driving licence “ just to make sure no kids turn up “
3. Budget on the spend, and be built by you.
4. Must be able to bring your bogie/kart in your weekend fun car.
5. Winner gets a Medal or trophy.

I think this could be a good event and a serious laugh.

that means then i could just bring along a rolling shell of a ka as one sould easily fit in the back of the T5 lol

I envisage 10-15 blokes in shopping trolleys, travelling at considerable speed down a hill somewhere in Newport in the near future, followed by a sudden shortage of beds at the Royal Gwent.

I think it's a great idea but I have no experience of building a soapbox so I may need a hand.
