It was good to see you all this morning. Here is the itinerary file for your TOM TOM

How to use
1. Download the file and place on your desktop.
2. Connect Tom Tom to your PC, this will add Tom Tom to the PC as a Flash drive disk. Open this in a folder view.
3. Open the folder called "itinerary" on the Tom Tom, and drag and drop the file LeMans.itn off your desk top to your TomTom itinerary folder.
4. Safely Disconnect your Tom Tom from your PC.
5. Load your itinerary "Lemans.itn" file on your Tom Tom .

!!Note !!Your Tom Tom may ask if you wish to navigate to the first waypoint called "Start" If you are not going to use your Tom Tom until this date just click yes, and power it off until the day.
But you can load this file on the day if needs be.

Hello Matt wavey- just joined PH so I can reply to your post!

Will hopefully make it on Sunday morning, unless we are away for the w/e if the weather is good.
If I dont make it, I would suggest the following:

It is 86 miles and 2hrs according to TT from the M48 Severn bridge to Poole. Ferry is at 7.15, so leave 4.30 - 4.45 latest. Route is M4 to J18 ( Bath), A46, A36 and the A350. At that time in the morning I would expect to save 15-20 mins on the TT time.

Assuming everybody wants to run in convoy then It might be best to split into 2 mini ones. That way the lead car will only be responsible for max 5 other cars which is alot more manageable and less likely to attract the Gendarmes.

The route mentioned on the Le Mans thread was pretty much what I had in mind: ie St Lo - Vire - Domfront - Lassay - Javron - Villaines la Juhel - Sille le Guillaume - Conlie - Spay.

Just need to make sure that everyone has either Sat Nav or maps or both, incase they get separated / breakdown etc. so that they can get to Spay
We will have time on the ferry to decide on final route, lunch stop etc.

Cheers
Steve W

if its open at that time of the morning i would suggest you head over the toll bridge in bath will easily cut another 15/20 off the journey i can normally do it in around 2 1/2 hours during normal travaling times but have done it in 2 hours with out the wife and kids in the car. let me know if you are not sure where the toll bridge is.

Hi all, I really hope you don't mind a minor hijack?
I don't suppose any of you know of anyone going in a van or similar by any chance?
I have a set of wheels that need collecting from a Dutch client who is attending. I'll obviously make a contribution to the weekendbiggrin
I'd really appreciate any help.
Cheers all (& have a great time), Al.
