I was sat in a bar in Borneo last night, and the conversation was about "Swety Bettie's" in Mill Street Pontypridd, and if it was still open, last time I was there was 1983, but the guy I was talking to from South Africa said it was open when he worked in Ponty in 2003.
So a my question is is it still there and has it changed.
If you see my user name you will of course know that I am originally from Ponty.

I remember Swety Betties. We used to travel there from Llanbradach in the late 70s/early 80s for a night out and end up in Swetys. Well known throughout the Valleys. Good times.
Haven't been in Ponty for years now, so I don't know sorry.
