Celtic Manor was a bit too 'corporate' for me when I stayed there, I'd second the Manor House in Castle Combe. Exceptional in all ways.

Miskin Manor is very nice.

Celtic manor is one of my clients and it is very corporate, looking for more intimate.......Gliifaes looks close to what i'm looking for but its sold out......anywhere near monmouth way

Where did you ended up in the end?

The ONLY place i could get a room was Cwrt Bleddyn.....hopefully it will be ok

edited to add.....not great and certainly not special, 6/10 overall but it was nice to get away for a night!
