Broken key for my sprinter van! Newport

Hey got a bit of a problem here!

Have a 2003 sprinter LWB 311cdi van and ive just broken the last ignition key for it! so can anyone suggest what to do short of being ass raped by the merc dealer!

Is it possible to take the lock barrel out and take it to a good key shop and get them to cut a new key to fit and put the old key with transponder on the same key to get past the electric imoobiliser?

I got new keys cut now thanks to jock the lock! he also cut me a new spare key for the golf so 4 keys for 120 made on my drive is not bad considering VW wanted the same for ONE Key!
