As the Legnum is now up for sale (hint hint) with the purchase of my new truck , Defender 90 in Scooby blue with a snorkel, I fancy doing some proper off road stuff, but my mates tonka toy is lacking mot and needs some work, so does anyone know of any off road places where I can take my truck?

Land Rovers rule !! How are you getting on with it ? Bit of a change from the Leggy mate, I'll have to prize the G4 from SWMBO at some point and go off roading again, although she's using it everyday at the moment while the 'Allroad' is 'off the road' drying out after rather alot of snow melted and leaked through the pollen filters, flooded the footwells and soaked the ecu and wiring loom frown

Some one part-ex'd one of these when I worked at Stratstone. It was fully kitted with a snorkel and roof lights etc. I was using it to go to the bank everyday before it went to auction.

I loved driving it... it was a totally different experience and gave me a real satisfying drive cool

Back on topic: I've definitely seen adverts for off roading centers around here, so maybe try a google search for "off roading gwent / south wales" etc?

Going good, the Leggy was/is fun but it has got to the point where the prices have levelled out, and to do anything with it would just be throwing money down the drain, well it wouldn't but I don't like spending money unless I know I can get money back, what I don't want to do is spend 3-5k modding something to make it stupid fast and not get anything back, as it would only sell for 4k max, so with buying the car I would of essentially spunked around 8k, I would have a silly fast car that would be awesome, but I hate losing money on things, someone else can do it, need it gone now though so whoever is willing to give me 2.5k can have it.

Nightmare with the Allroad, why I love simplistic things, you can fill a 90 upto the roof and not have to worry about it drying out.

Landy is tres good though, if you get your G4 back I may have a potential play site just on border in Hereford.

Yeah they are great fun to drive, need to get the death shake sorted out so I can go above 55mph without having the front end shake all over the place, and then fit a Isuzu Trooper 3.1 Diesel intercooler on it, whack the boost upto 16psi and crank the fuel pump up, people have seen from 25-40bhp added on which in the real world is a fair bit.

Thing is I am toying with dropping it and putting some lower profile road tyres on hehe

Have only been on it with friends but Sarn Helen which goes from near the Brecon Beacons Visitors centre and goes across to near Neath way....Must be 15 miles of offroad which we managed in a lwb shogun a couple of years back. Not quite clear on the legalities but seemed fine at the time

I only wish to use legal routes, as you can get your truck confiscated which I don't want, nor do I want lanes closed or anymore bad press for 4x4 owners off road
