I have had a look but not found exactly what I am looking for, so apologies for yet another question. I need to organise an impressive weekend tour in South Wales for 20 cars over 2 days and have read alot of good stuff about Brecon Beacons, Black Mountain pass, Evo Triangle(?), but not being familiar with the area, I was hoping someone had first hand experience of a very nice hotel and fantastic roads.

1) Digs - something impressive, castle hotel or something away from residential or high streets.
2) Parking - hotel in own grounds with secure parking.
3) Route - we aim to get there friday night, then go on a loooooong all day saturday, 200mile round trip cruise taking in the best scenic roads on offer, start at 9am and get back for dinner 10 hours later.

If anyone has planned something similar, would appreciate a response.

This thread looks interesting, (PWD95 you out there?)

I'd use this as my base. Had my wife's xmas doo here, very nice.
Probably the best buffet cooked breakfast you'll ever have. Eat as much as you like!!! (was for us anyway B&B basis)

PWD,
Thanks for the quick response, I will contact them for availability, where is this hotel in relation to the A4059? If the hotel is the starting point, care to map out a route for me?

Much appreciated

Jet

You are not far from Swansea where there is a 5 Star Hotel called Morgans.
Or if you wanted to be in Cardiff the St Davids Hotel is 5 star also.
Both very nice - Morgans is a bit more individual.

Assuming you want to be Brecon / ish based.

Nearby Crickhowell offers Gliffaes which will not disappoint.... truly memorable IMO

Nearby, Peterstone Court also gets positive reviews.

This has swanky in it. Used a few off there, some superb hostelries with top notch scoff.

Not sure if they are suitable as to location, parking etc. Leave that up to you.
