I saw it was snowing pretty heavily last night where I live (Rhondda) and, sure enough, it looks like bloody Lapland out my window...

Only problem is I've paid a tenner to go see Avatar on Cardiff's new IMAX screen tonight at 8pm which is looking like it might be in danger :-( What's the snow like near you guys?

I know, it's bloody pathetic. What ever happened to the British stiff upper lip sense of adventure.

Bunch of poofs in this country now.

Not really. There used to be far less cars on the roads, the roads were wider and not everyone had 3 cars parked on the road and an empty driveway.

I went out fully prepared to brave these conditions but my car is refusing to open. Don't know whether the cold is affecting the electronics but the damn doors are jammed shut. Oh well, I'll work from home and them walk to the pub later to write my report with a nice pint.

I have to pour boiling water into the door lock of the Golf every morning. I have noticed that the rubber seals on the new Mondeo like to freeze up. Not a great design.

Get some Gummi Pfledge on the seals, that helps stop them freezing.

Cheers. What about the cockpit premium spray, is that any good for the interior plastic??

That'll liven up the trip to the airport then.

If anybody sees a black 156 being driven by what appears to be the worlds grumpiest man, give me a wave hehe

Hmmm, the BBC website 5 day forecast reckons heavy rain for tomorrow and Wednesday which kind of goes against the end of the world predictions in the news section, think I'll just go by the tried and tested method of looking out the window in the morning to see what the weather's like.

I've been trying to work out where that picture was taken, it looks pretty famliar, I'm in Cwmparc by the way.

Snowed in my arse !! I drove to Guterslough in Germany last week to see my brother, the day you posted this up !! on snow and ice. The Light dusting of icing sugar shown in you pic is nothing. And before you say well "my cars to powerful and does not drive well in snow" i was driving a 280bhp nissan 200sx with 255 wide rear tyres. with no problems .. now get to Fuc*ing work you pussy !!

That goes for the rest of you that waffle on "If its drizzling im not coming to the new years tunnel run" especially the subaru drivers xmas

"said in a childish patronising voice "

As we got to Belgium and Germany the roads were gritted as they dont grit them in france, after the snow melted it washed the salt away and turned to ice .. hence Lorry pics below, that was just the 1 of 4 in a space of 2 hours.
he lost it cos the road was just a sheet of ice about half inch thick.
