So as can be seen above, we had some slight wind damage last night...

Can anyone recommend a fencer or another suitable person to put it back up?

Also excuse next doors garden, they have just cut down 6 huge conifers and are still in the process of removing them. Losing this wind break probably didn't help the fence, but its much nicer not being in the shade all morning.

Cheers for your help in advance.

You need to ask for Richard Smith who runs it. They come and cut my garden hedges twice a year and generally do a tidy up. They also repaired my fence when we had all that wind a couple of years ago. He did a "best he could do as a temporary" - it's still rock solid. Very reasonably priced, I have no hesitations recommending him or inviting him back to do my garden every year.

^^ This, if you have the time this weekend. It's very easy to do, B+Q have a fencepost mix that you pour into the hole and add water (iirc).

What? You think I'm some kind of structural engineer? I do have some readymix in the garage as it happens biggrin

Spoke to neighbour last night offering him to remove the stumps while he has access to the roots, but he isn't fussed, so I will look into getting quotes and depending on insurance excess, go down that route. If its stupidly expensive, I will be getting my spade and wellingtons out!

Thanks all.

Thanks to all those that replied, especially Ed as I used Richard Smith from First Impressions Outdoor Cleaning and Gardening Services - nothing but praise for his style of business and communication. Recommend him to anyone!bow

Anyway, that's enough of me boring you all about fences on a motoring forum! Move along biggrin
