Has anyone out there used Chirs Denning, Cardiff to work on they're cars? I had tried RS Porsche and the main dealers and wasn't happy with either (for different reasons) there is a place in bridgend but they are too far away to taxi back and for when the car is in.
Also has anyone any veiws on the best place for wheel alignment on a 996 C4S?
Thanks again.

never heard of him!

I hHave always heard good things about "The Hub" on broadway, never been able to get my car in there, it was always a 3 car minimum wait. It does have a backstreet garage look/feel about the place though.

I guess it's so busy for a reason. It's the garages that can fit you in straight away that set alarm bells off for me!

I have used RS Porsche for the last 3 years and pleased with his work so can't help you there.

As for the wheel alignment the few places i have used in the area have been pretty crap. A few owners on the PCGB forum use windway tyres http://www.trebleb.co.uk/cardiff.htm and IIRC he's ex porsche trained (haven't used him myself though). I'm going to take mine here http://www.neilgarner.co.uk/ in the new year as i have heard he's pretty good and i want my corner weights set up. Bit of a trek but if he's good enough for Fernando Alonso smile

Thanks Mark, I'll look them up as family guy mentioned them too. I guess the only other thing I need to find is a nearby pub!

My old man uses Celtic tyres in Bridgend, I believe they have a four wheel laser alignment, its a round trip of about 70 miles for him so they must be doing something right. They also have a depot in Cardiff which maybe worth checking out.

It was one of your posts on a previous thread that pointed me in his direction thumbup. Hopefully get the car there in early January. Just need to do a few small jobs before booking it in.

I have personally known both Chris Denning and Dave from RS Porsche for about 20 years. I would not hesitate to recommend either for Porsche work.
Both guys have main dealer training and backgrounds.
I don't think there is anyone in South wales with any more Porsche experience than there two guys.

This is just a post to say that i have just been to Heath Tyres for 4 wheel tracking, and was happy with the service @ £40+VAT. Shame about the results, 3 new tyres on order frown
