Under immense pressure ,looking for a weekend away ,nice driving roads and somewhere with secure parking/hotel.
bought a 9 gt evo absolutly mint just had new turbo ,tyres ,turbo elbow,remap , walbro fuel pump.
Going back to INDIGO GT for a boost controller and vortex generator on friday .
I need to spoil the other half now ,has to be somewhere in uk /ireland

Haven't been yet but plan on going next year with the misses thumbup

Hmm, just re read weekend bit. Might be a bit far for a weekend frown

If Scotland is too far... How about the Peak District National Park? It’s the one between Manchester and Sheffield with Buxton (quite a famous town) right in the middle.

I took the missus there about a year ago and she enjoyed it. There are a couple of famous roads in the area - the 'Cat and Fiddle' (A53) and the 'Snake Pass' (A57). Both were very good fun.

We stayed in a Travelodge near Macclesfield. I didn't really plan where to go or what to see; we just stopped wherever we felt like and grabbed some leaflets from the tourist info in Buxton.

Scotlands not too far in a weekend...have done it more than a few times in a weekend, even managed to get up to Isle of Skye and stayed over night

Thanks guys on the net checking sites ,lake district looks good.
Like a monkey with a jet engine when it comes to computers if i can will get some photos up of where we decide to go.
Cant take her to scotland wont be allowed to go and watch the rugby again

Just thought it might be a bit hard going for a weekend away. I know a mate of mine did it there and straight back, but that was out of necessity rather than fun.

The lake district is a lovely place. We stayed on the edge of lake windermere last year and did this route:

It is a bit hard going...but ohh so worth it. Hoping to make a week of it next year
