Hi guys, I been looking around for turbo back exhaust system for my S3. Always had the intention of going for a Milltek, however they are quite expensive.

Few friends I know have recently installed a Pro Speed exhaust system on their cars and was wondering if anyone on here has had any experience with them and whats the quality and prices like.

Thanks Nathan

Go for it. Never hear anything negative regarding Charlie at ProSpeed. I have been there a few times myself and he has always given great service!

Top bloke knows his stuff ! ive had 2 systems off him now and they have been spot on .i would not use anyone else.
he will create the noise you want from a car, at a good price.
and the systems alway look good, with nice welding.

recommend Prospeed 110%

Thanks for the info guys. Think im going to go and have a chat with Charlie, see what he can do. How much roughly do you think a full turbo back exhaust would be and has anyone noticed any performance difference when the system was installed.

With my NA Mr2 yes

With the TVR not sure as is tourqe is so high, better gas flow does not make a noticable difference at lower revs . but i also need to get it chiped to reap the benefits of the straight through system.

I understand what your saying. Im wanting to tune my car for a stage 2 remap, meaning I must have a performance exhaust. I dont want it to sound chavvy but would want it louder and more a meaty sports car sound, if you get. Can they make it sound similar to a Milltek do you think

Don't know what kind of car you're running but if it has a catalyst in it then you may also want to consider the fact that you're going to need an improved/race version to get the best gas flow result.

Agreed! yes I've had 2 systems as well and would recommend him to anyone. Top bloke and top quality work!

Why not pop down to see him, you'll soon realise why we rate him so highly.

Gumstabber. I was thinking of asking him to make me a de cat pipe to go in place where my cat is now so can remove it easily for Mot time. Also for a turbo car I think some good gains can be seen with a de cat.Ok then guys if given the option of either a Milltek or Prospeed system what would you choose.

Prospeed. I used to have Corsa exhausts on my Mustang but I ditched them in favour of a Prospeed exhaust. They were a smidge louder, a lot lighter and far cheaper but they still don't drone or resonate.

Lets be fair though, the miltek was probably tested on a rolling road to prove power gains, which you dont get with Charlie.

True but what can Milltek honestly do beyond freeing up the flow post-cat - it doesn't appear to be rocket science and some stock systems are restrictive and some aren't. The Mustang's, for example, frees up very little and only then in conjunction with intake improvements.

De-cat and a proper race-spec silencer (primarily to get the dB level down) from Techcraft saw a 12bhp gain on my 2.0l Duratec. It's not all about how it sounds.
