Good locations for taking photos of cars in/near Cardiff
Discussion
You need to drive to Penarth Marina and park up there. Depending on the angle of parking, you either get the barrage/sea backdrop or the cliffs, or the old Custom House.
From the other side (Cardiff end), you would have to park up around the Norweigian Church area and get some pics there. May struggle for decent spot to park due to all the workers parking down there though. Can get good shots in the night though with the lighting down there.

Perfect excuse for a drive through Brecon?!
Would be the best thing to do, but didn't consider it close enough to Cardiff.Steve z - the Bay is also a great excuse for some tunnel blasting though Fancy some company?
If not, see you next weekend for the Tredegar Show. How are numbers looking? I assume you will email us the applications forms once(if) we get enough numbers?

Thanks for the ideas. Went too Penarth Marina and also found a spot near the Assembly building which was quite good. Will try and post results later if I can work out how to do it. Anyone know how?
Where near the Assembly? I'm on Pierhead Street. Regarding posting photos, you have to upload them onto a picture hosting website such as www.photobucket.com or www.flickr.com or similar.
Then you right click, go to properties on the photo and find the web link address for that photo.
Then write: [pic]add link address to hosted photo here[/pic]
Preview it before you post to make sure its working and that's it.
Look forward to seeing them

However, I did see a grey R8 drive past (Pierhead street) yesterday afternoon (I think). Was that you Steve?!
Ok - Some photos from today. My reason for posting these is James at ti22.me in Newport did a 'detail' on the car yesterday and to be honest I wanted to showcase his work because he did a brilliant job. Thanks James!

I will have to take some there myself once its clean. Maybe at night, with the lights from bay rippling on the water - should give a good effect.
OK so take the bybass through Chepstow heading towards Lydney. Go over the Chepstow bridge into England and take the first turning right signposted Sedbury. At the next roundabout take the first turning into Sedbury and just follow the road through Sedbury and onto the Army camp. Go past the entrance to the camp on the right and just keep going until the road runs out. The slip road is just past the Ferry pub.
Steve, posted these befoe but here's a couple to wet your appetite..
Now just need to get the TVR down there whilst it's sunny..
