hi guys,
i have been asked to help publicise this event.
i will be attending in one of our morgans, possibly two cars.
we are looking for your support .
i am thinking it would make a pistonheads breakfast meet !

Remember the Pleasure of Sunday Driving?

On Sunday 4th October St. David's Foundation Hospice Care are organising a great day out and are seeking vehicles to join in - the more unusual the better to make up an interesting spectacle.

Whether your vehicle is vintage, classic, retro or modern St. David's urge you to get involved. We are also interested in hearing from Businesses who would like to have their company vehicle involved - encourage staff to meet up outside work. It will be a great day out that all the family and friends can enjoy.

The event will start at Bassaleg Comprehensive School with bacon rolls and refreshments for everyone.

Children will love to see the procession of cars and enjoy seeing vintage models, and families can enjoy the views as the route takes you through some of the best scenery that the area offers.

Registration is £20 per car, or your business may opt to raise £100 sponsorship - which will give you free entry into the prize draw.

Kris Broome from St. David's said "We appreciate times are hard out there and are trying to offer a different type of fundraising event where the whole community can get involved, socialise, enjoy the scenery whilst helping to raise money to provide our free service to the community."

The main aim of the Foundation is to ensure patients have a real choice about where they receive their end of life care. Whilst all the care is provided free of charge, it costs the Foundation nearly £5 million each year, and less than 20% of these costs are met by the NHS.

Be part of the fundraising effort and have a great family day out at the same time. To register your car, call Kris on 01633 271364, or email fundraising@stdavidsfoundation.co.uk - Text 07870 682828 or visit www.stdavidsfoundation.co.uk

My Dad sadly passed away having battled cancer in St Joseph's Hospice on October the 19th 2006. The care he received was amazing and so far I have walked the Severn Bridge twice to raise funds for this worthy cause. The staff are complete angels. I live in Surrey but will make every effort to be a part of this. Let's face it, nothing is too far in a TVR!

my suggestion would be to check with kris, he could email entry form out, this has payment details on.

normally for these events you register months in advance, we only have a few weeks.

Just in case anyone was wondering the schedule for this event.

9.30am Registration and refreshments at Bassaleg School
10.00am Cars depart in 1 minute intervals for a 71 mile route around Gwent returning to Bassaleg School
12.30pm-1.30pm Cars return to School and BBQ

It is fine to enter on the day and currently they have 50 entries.

Would be good to get the Breakfast Club there???
