attempted theft of my FTO

starting the day with a rant im afraid!...
went out in swansea saturday night for a mates birthday. had a good night and decided to stay at his house as it was closer to town than mine.
got a lift back to my house in ravenhill swansea the next morning to find my beloved FTO had had its driverside door lock smashed in. wasnt impressed to say the least as you can imagine. later that day (sunday) i had a knock at the door, it was a man in his 40s with a younger lad ( between the age of 16-18 id say) asking if the FTO was for sale because someone they know had told them there was an FTO for sale in the area and so they thought it was mine. i told them sorry but its not for sale and hasnt been advertised for sale and so they left.. i didnt think anything of it but then a few hours later ( around 8.40ish) the car alarm goes off so i run to the front door to see a car speeding off down the road. i couldnt see what the car was as it was dark and he was already half way down the road by the time i had unlocked the front door.
i checked the car over and nothing was missing but the door was open. alarm obviously s
t them up. but if the little fkwit (fkwit is not used enough anymore haha) had known what he was doing he would have seen the big red light flashing inside the car showing the alarm/ immobliser was active befor he even opened the door...
checked with nextdoor and they didnt see anything but insisted i phoned the police..
after being on the phone for 15 mins and being given a crime number i was told there would be an officer with me within the hour. OVER 3 HOURS LATER he shows up and tells me he cant do anything about it and recommends i get cctv!
now as unimpressed as i was at the time, im now thinking cctv would be a good investment.. dose anyone know of any that are worth getting that can be installed fairly easily and dosnt cost a fortune?
its sad that you cant own somthing without the local scum thinking they have the right to damage/take it but i guess thats the way things are these days.
if anyone hears of a little tosser bragging about how he tried to steal an fto on saturday/sunday night please message me as i have a gas powered nail gun now waiting for the little by the front door...
i may have to go for a long fast drive later to release some anger
