Hi guys,

Does anyone know any car hire firms in / around Cardiff or South Wales that hire out executive / prestige type cars and are any good?

My brother is getting married this week, he was going to use his car (RX8) to drive to the church in but it has had to go in to the garage this week as it's not starting properly and we don't want to risk it on the day. As his best man I'm now frantically searching for a replacement! It doesn't have to be anything particually fast (although that would be a bonus) but just something with a bit of class that will look nice when we arrive - Merc / BMW / Jag / Range Rover etc...

I've tried all the national firms and will use them as a last resort - the only concern I have is that they state on their website "Mercedes E220CDI or similar" Knowing my luck we'll turn up to get the car and it'll be a Skoda Superb or something equally as boring. What I'd like is to know exactly what car we're hiring before we book if that makes sense?

Any help would be massively appreciated!!

Thanks

Dan

probably not really what you want if your brother was planning to drive himself, but I always use this company for any sort of work function where the service and car need to be first class:

Thanks for that Firefoot - If we can't get anything decent as a self-drive then we will look at the chauffer option and will give this guy a call but as we're driving down from Brecon he did really want to drive himself and take advantage of the roads!

Most wedding care hire companies will be able to point you to a prestige car other than your standard wedding cars. You could also ask if anyone would be up for driving you and the groom to the wedding if they have something special.

Found this elsewhere on PH from someone with a similar predicament to you - not cheap though!
