Hey i am from South Wales, Cardiff.
I have Just fitted a subwoofer in to my car,
I have wired it all up and it is still notn working,
There is power from the Amp and sub and as they have been tested.
there is also a led light showing up on the amp.
the outputs are from the rear speakers as i don't have Outputs on my cd/radio.
Can anyone help me with this who knows a bit more than i do.

ok, how have you wired the amp is it from the speaker out put of the stereo or the speakers? you should run the speaker cable from the stereo to the amp, then from the put put of the amp to the speakers.

A mate from bristol came down and wired it all.
There is an earth which goes from the back of the stereo,
there is a power cable from the battery to the amp,
there is a multi blue wire pluged in to the amp from the rear speakers.
and then a wire from the amp to the sub

earth should be to body or battery, not stereo. the blue white cable, should come from a live feed off the stereo to the amp, this turns the amp on.

then speaker feed from stero, to amp then from amp to speakers

The car is a Kitcar so there is no earth on the body,
I don't really no how he wired it up but he said it was done correctly

if it were me, id wire it to the battery (the earth) then, as the stereo earth will be too small to ground it correctly

if you can get pictures of the wiring panel on the amp, ill e mail you how it should be wired so you can check if it helps

Why not a get an RCA to headphone cable and an MP3 player and confirm that the amp is actually producing sound.

Also have you checked the gain?

Cheers,

I have plugged the cables to the back of the head unit and it still doesn't work,
I don't know how to test an amp at all,
