Hi all,

As some may know, i am about to replace my discs and pads and since i was on the phone i decided to try to get a deal done for us. I have managed to get some great deals based on 10 of us being in on a group buy. So far there are 2 in so only 8 places need filling.

The group buy is for a set of CRN discs front and back with 40 grooves each and EBC Yellow stuff race/road pads. Below is some more info and some prices to get us started, but if there are any special requirements let me know and i will make some phonecalls to see what kind of deal i can get as i know not everyone drives an Impreza!!biggrin

http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/yellowstuff_br...

Prices:

2001-04 Sti 350 pounds delivered
2005-08 Sti 370 pounds delivered
2001-on WRX 255 pounds delivered
Classic will be around 240 pounds but still waiting on confirmation

Bearing in mind that the pads alone are anywhere between 150 and 200 pounds, these prices are pretty good. Also you can opt for less grooves or for drilled and grooved, but i will have to check if this affects cost for you.

Other cars can be included in the group buy and the above prices are a guide as to how much can be saved since i was quoted 1550 pounds at the dealership for OE parts!!!!! Just let me know what you need and i will get prices for yousmile

Hi peeps,

The Audi discs and pads came back as 415 pounds and the BMW was 425 pounds as they can only be supplied with EBC discs. If you are able to get the same set up elsewhere cheaper, let me know how much and where and i will do some arm twisting for you;)

Also, i should soon have prices for the Mintex M1144 high performance pads as some have asked for alternatives to the EBC pads, prices to follow.

Could well be interested in this.

I badly need front discs and pads for my MY97 Impreza, although the callipers on my car have been upgraded from an MY06

Could you confirm the price for me.

Cheers

Are the calipers the WRX red ones? I will assume they are at the moment and get a price for those for you ASAP.

Below is a list of disc prices to help work out your needs and costs etc.

Discs:

1994-1998 (unless states Subaru or brembo on the callipers)

F- 277mm £60

R- 266mm Vented £60

R 266mm Solid £60

1998-2001 (Classic shape, should be Subaru engraved 4 pot callipers.)

F- 295mm £60

R- 266mm Vented £60

R 266mm Solid £60

2001 (bug eye/wrx NOT STI)

F 295mm £60

R- 290mm £85

2001-2006 (STI/Brembo/WRX)

F- 326mm £115

R 316mm £115

Specific pads must be found at :: EBC Brakes Direct Limited :: and then send us the ‘DP’ part number to us so that we can get prices for those pads. There is too many too list.

Liam

So for the 97 Impreza you are looking at £120 for the discs plus the cost of pads for your model, unless you have also changed the discs, which i am guessing you havn't;)

Hope this helps mate!

Thanks for that

I take it the disks for 1998-2001 (Classic shape, Subaru engraved 4 pot callipers) are the same as the Impreza 2001 onwards( Not STI ) until the new shape?

I'm sure the front calipers i fitted are of a 2005 Impreza turbo (Non STI), they're red with Subaru engraved on them

I need to replace the front discs along with the pads, would probably prefer the Mintex pads

How would i go about ordering and paying for them through the group buy?

Cheers

Hi gents!

The supplier is CRN Products and my main contact returns from holiday next week so i will be looking to place orders then, so if your in, let me know ASAP so i can give him numbers. I will discuss payment/discount etc with him and give you details of how place your order next week.

I have been leaning more towards the Mintex pads myself to be honest, but they are pretty much the same thing really.
