In a slight twist to the ususal 'spotted' thread who here has seen one of my favourite cars in cardiff, a renault laguna with some interesting pink 'playgirl' livery, usually driving round the canton area??

Apparently the car is powered by fairy dust and judging by the 'load' usually carried in the car, OPEC must be worried, and electric cars,... forget it.

I think this may be a suitable thread to bring up the abomination I saw wondering St Mary street many years ago and I wonder if anyone else may have had their eyeballs assaulted by the same apparition, namely a Gold Capri with "Jus' Posin'" adorning the sides in black IIRC.

very nicely done, very smooth, de-handled, de-chromed etc and to be fair and the driver certainly had plenty of attention although I'm not sure it was all as positive as he would like to have thought.

Sadly I can remember this car !! Also seem to remember from the same era a gold Cortina, or may have been a Granny, with loads of tiger fur, the back shelf was covered in euther flowers or cuddly toys (can't quite remember) and was regularly seen cruising around the city centre, thinking about it I'm sure it was flowers all over the interior of tthe car.

Yes I remember that one as well, and you're right from the same time, saw it 2-3 times a week heading up Cowbridge road east at lunch times.

Yup! And the car he had before the Granada was a Ford Zodiac with plenty of flowers in the front and rear windows. Allways remember him driving around with his windows down blasting out his tunes from one of them Carribean All Steel Bands. Think he was from Fairwater.

I remember him, didn't he have 'mike' painted on the car somewhere?
