Is it just me or has anyone else been frustrated by the large matrix information signs on the M4 eastbound towards the Severn Bridge that show information only in Welsh.

Quite a few times now when travelling in the morning rush hour out over the Severn Bridge out on a job and more often in bad weather I have partly caught out the corner of my eye the first large matrix sign displaying something about the M48 Bridge being closed.

Did it say closed or was there a speed restriction on it? I didn’t quite catch it. Never mind I will make note to clearly view the next matrix. Here it is oh and yes of course this is in displayed in Welsh only. How dam frustrating! It may as well be displayed in Japanese.

Whey don’t they display them all in English which can be understood by all (even the 70%+ residents of Wales whom do not speak or read Welsh), aren’t these signs meant to benefit all by providing road health and safety information and advise!

And before anyone has a go at me for being anti-Welsh well I am not I was born and breed in Cardiff the capital of Wales. I just hate having a language that I do not need to understand forced upon me in the name of politics.

Any comments anyone!

Steff

That the matrix signs only ever have patronising messages on them anyway so I wouldn't worry.
