Im going up with SIDC so keep an eye out for the car on display near the cafe, you are welcome to run up with the rest of SIDC Wales if you fancy it, might be early though!

Not going on track though, Combe scares the hell out of me, i have seen so many cars trashed there after really small errorseek

afternoon slots are risky, you get people with adrenaline rush and red mist going out thinking they have something to prove. IME

Ummmm Action days at Coombe.....my advice would be to watch whats around you and who you are on track with. Cheap fun but all depends on the idiots around you.

You only get 15 minutes on track for your money, so it's pretty poor value unless you only want to have a quick go to say that you've driven on a track. It doesn't take many of those sessions before you've spent what a real trackday would cost you. You've also got to keep your eyes wide open as they let almost anyone on track, and in quite large groups too, and the standard of some of the driving leaves a lot to be desired.

Nothing has been set as yet, but usually we meet at Magor services and then run down from there. Once we get to Combe though, you will have to park in the public car park as the rest of us have stand passesbiggrin I will let you know as soon as i have details;)

Thanks for the advice chaps, I'll keep my eyes peeled. Two 15 minute sessions will be plenty for me & my car. I'll probably do the same in the classic action day in June. I haven't got the budget to do several full days a year plus tyres, starts to add up a bit then. Evil, I'll keep my eyes open for your arrangements. Thanks. thumbup

I'm planning on attending this day (spectator only).

Would be good to know who's going, possible convoy or just meet up there.
Plus ofcourse a list of the people having a blast on the track so we can watch you giving it some stick (or stuffing it into the tyres)

Nathan, sounds like you caught the bug after Llandow? Are you planning to spank the TVR around Coombe

Word of advice: don't.

It's chaos.

There are very few rules, it's not very well 'policed' by the organisers - resulting in many avoidable accidents.

I've been to spectate at several of them and been absolutely astounded by how crap the standard of driving is on the track.

Mostly because it's cheap which encourages every chav for miles around to try and prove his Ripspeed special is quicker than a TVR.

I will probably come along depending on weather my car is in pieces or a whole.

Won't be risking it on track at one of these events though.
