Hiya guys and gals, I lost my job before Xmas and Ive been actively seeking a job since then looking at the job sites 3 times a day and visiting companies all to no avail yet with 4 interviews but didnt get any due to the overwhelming numbers of applicants, Ive been told between 200-3000!!!

Im looking for any job in South Wales or bristol area that involves driving, basic property maintainace etc as i have experience of both smile

Have a Class 2 licence but havent driven one yet but willing to! Also have a 17 seat minibus licence which I have a lot of experience of and also Luton box/panel vans of all shapes and sizes for many years. Licence is totally clean and im 26 smile
A full CV is available on request.

Can A PH'er help with a job with their company they own/work for or have any contacts that could help?

Much Appreciated!

Kenneth

I'm not sure if it's what you're after but our local taxi firm (Caldicot) has stickers in the windows saying Drivers Wanted? The name of the company is Denzil Davies.

that would be good but i only have a D1 17 seat minibus category not the full size coach one so there would have to be training as well! there isnt many first buses around here actually, only veolia, newport transport and stagecoach. but see what ur mate says!

many thanks!

I'd ring them if I was you, then ring them again, then again, keep going until you get somewhere. An email is too easy to bin.

Might be worth trying some of the airport run companies - or set up your own business doing it.

Ive already done the set up my own business thing with a franchise with business post and did it for 2-3 years but I rather be a employee now and not worry bout the tax man demands and papers and sortin the insurance and paying for the van to be repaired. etc etc smile
It was enjoyable but I was working all the hours god sent and if i wanted time off i had to pay for a cover driver so in the 2-3 years i only took 2 weeks off which is ridiculous really isnt it!

I'm sure they'd pay for the training mate. Unfortunately i can't get any more details as he's away at the mo. I'll let you know when i find anything out.
