any body know any nice forestry trails?
Discussion
perhaps a slightly random question for a motoring forum here guys! being an overly keen runner wanted to know of any decent places to run near-ish to me, i'm at the university of glamorgan so not toooooooo far away from some points of the brecon beacons, and wanted to know if anyone knew any nice routes i could go running which they could put a point on google maps for me? anything from 3-10mile routes would be ideal (big gap in distances i know! depends what type of training i want to do on the day!). just after something with proper paths (preferrably not concrete though...prefer the forest paths if you know what i mean!?). lots of trees. generally a nice place to go running i guess, or where some people go walking!
can see from here i'm not far from the edges of the brecon beacons national park, so if there is anywhere near here someone knows about please let me know!

many many thanks in advance,

ps....i'm not one of those runners who dresses like eco idiots i love my cars way too much! hehe.
cheers guys

still open to any more ideas
thanks so far though
There's plenty of woodland and tracks around Margam Park if you can get there, and there's plenty of good tracks further west in the Afon Forest (all routes are marked). A little bit closer to home have a look around Castle Coch just up the A470 some good walking, cycling and, I guess, running areas.

well...i went to afon forest and it was a lovely place...and it wasn't too shabby that to get there i had to drive along the A4107 either! what an epic road!!! i might have got a bit of brake fade though that's with the green stuff pads and grooved rotors too! still, they did take some punishment....fast straights then some downhill hairpins!
what a morning!
