Had a pretty good experience with a garage on Penarth Road. Forget what they are called, but located almost on the corner with Sloper Road, opposite Grangetown train station.

^ J&P Auto's, I've used them too, and I would use them again. One of my work colleagues also swears by.

I had some work done there a few years back. Seems they let the apprentice do the work, he made a bit of a cock up which resulted in throttle stuck open going along the bute tunnel dual carriageway at a reasonable speed. Would never ever use them again. They also "lost" my warranty book whilst doing the work.

Thanks for the advice.

Took it to A P. They were fine- polite, good value, finished the job when they said they would, service book stamped ready, gave advice about things that may need repairing at next mot.

Might start doing at least the interim services myself from now on.
