OK, had a gutsful. Who broke it, common, own up. It was fine before the rebuild. Its quicker to go west via Newport now.

Can anyone understand why they've built an Asda there, the bay one is less than 2 miles/5 mins away. Doesn't make sense.

I have not been down there yet but is there a Tesco there? If not makes perfect sense as asda will get a larger share of punters. Also positive point is that it should have created a number of job opertunities in that area and at this time that has to be a good thing?

You're probably right, it just seems suprising to me that they should have 2 large stores so close. But I suppose if they hadn't build there, a rival would have.

Drive round it twice a day without any bother, usually at rush hour as well. Will be interesting on a match day no doubt.

Anybody used the ridiculous merge in lane going into Hadfield Road? The two lanes join into one pretty much as soon as you leave the roundabout! That'll be interesting with two HGVs!

The word on the street, so to speak, is that there are some sort of plans for Tesco to move to the existing Asda site at Cardiff Bay Retail Park and then for Waitrose to move into the Tesco site at Penarth Marina. I've heard this third-hand so a very large pinch of salt is required.

That would suit me, on my way home without going out the way I've only got really got Asda and Morrisons. Tesco and Waitrose are better choices.

I was going to disagree with this thread until I remembered that, the last time I used the roundabout, I was nearly taken out by an utter retard who tried to pull a complete U-turn from the left hand laneranting

This re-development is a damned good idea, but worst spot is at the opposite end of Leckwith Road. Traffic backs up beyond the junction and is sometimes a nightmare to get through. New stadium hasn't even been completed yet, when traffic will be even heavier!
