ive heard of people selling cats to the scrap metal merchants recently for very good money - £75+ per cat not being uncommon

does anyone know somewhere in Cardiff to do this - as i have the cat section from an e36 328i (2 cats in total) just sat in my garage doing nothing

yeah i dont wanna go to a rgular scrappy
apparently with the price of scrap metal rising worldwide it includes the price of the precious metals found inside oem cats.

several ppl on other forums have had well over £75 per car
unfortunately none local to south wales

Try the RSPCA they will take the cats!

With so many "scrap metal" sellers in Cardiff I doubt you'll get those prices. Won't you be better off selling them to someone with the car who needs them?

Seriously?

So if you can weigh a car in for say 120GBP, if you removed the cat you could take that close to #200 total if you used two scrappies? Top tip that!

people are getting these prices throughout the UK - why would cardiff be any different ?

i dont get why having "so many scrap metal sellers in Cardiff" would make a difference either - sure if i was buying it would lower the price as there would be loads of competition, but im selling.

Sims metals or fordpad in Neath will give you a good price for them.

I got £80 for the pair off my E36 325i so guess the 328i one's are a similar size and value.
