Any one see it? Sounded great with the engine noise echoing back off margam mountain. Flew in a circle, went very low over Swansea way and buggered off back cardiff way.

was there a show or something?

It was the Port Talbot annual beach festival The Lancaster did several fly pasts at low alltitude over Aberavon beach and what a glorious sight and sound it was.

did anyone see the idiot down by cardiff airport on sunday aeound 1 o'clock in a F-16. (i think that was what the plane spotter said). done a fly past on the airport runway but didnt land, i was just driving around the perimeter (at the end of the runway) when the bugger flew over, no more that 100 feet off the ground. Poo'd my pants to say the least, and my sunroof was open. but it did sound good

Missed the Lancaster & I'm only a few miles outside Port Talbot, would have loved to have seen/heard one of those again.

Shame it didnt drop a few tons of ordinance on Port Talbot. It could have caused hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of improvements biggrin

Damages would have been into the tens of pounds. On closer viewing of the picture there seems to be seagull shaped bombs being droped ! " we will fight them on the beaches "
