Seen this car for sale at Llantrisant Car Sales and just wondering if anyone knows any history on it. Dark Grey Lotus Europa.

Posted on SELOC as well.

Cheers

Worth asking Stratstone as they can't have sold more than 1 or 2.

Spoke to their servicing department today to get some history on the car. Only had the 1000 mile service and some warranty work completed there.

I'm one of those rare people that actually want an Europa, however there are very few on the market, 17 at present I think.

It gives me time to sell the VX which should put me in a really strong position when it comes to buying.

Yes and a few years down the road, it's rarity should make the depreciation less and one day a collector's car no doubt.

Well there really is limited choice at the moment. Of the 17 for sale on P'heads, about 16.5 are graphite Grey. I don't mind the colour but I think black would be my first choice of colour.

As for rarity factor, this does really appeal to me. Also the fact that it is seen as the 'black sheep' of the current Lotus line up. I can't explain why but I've always preferred the underdog - maybe it's all these years of supporting Wales at Rugby!!!

I looked around the car when I was getting my MOT done next door in BETS. Looked a tidy piece of kit. The Elise has never appealed to me (sorry Elise owners) but the Europa did make an impression (still going to get a Cerbera next though biggrin ).

Yes it is a grat car. The paintwork is not spot on with a few chips in the body work and also some crazing in the drivers doors however I wouldn't see this as a massive cost to fix and also it should be expected with cars of this type.

Look at this one!!!
