Went to fill up at my local Tescos (Cowbridge Road & Brewery Lane) today and both forecourts were closed.

I then noticed the price per litre was now £1.099 - bloody crazy.

Im eagerly awaiting the PH classifieds to be inundated with Dodge Vipers with this news, and i am poised to grab myself a bargain.

Be glad your supercar is powered by a modest 2.0 Honda unit and not an 8.0 litre monster!

Used to have an Impreza and that was 2 litre too! I hated watching the fuel gauge in that!

Blimey £1.20 a litre = £5.50 a gallon
No wonder they started charging it by the litre.
I don't know whether some pumps have been re-calibrated and some haven't but it's becoming increasingly difficult to stop the gun on a 'round' pound

Now £1.109!

I'm told the wholesale price hasn't increased so I guess we're getting fleeced by BIG retailers like Tescos.

Funny how things change. This post was only started 7 weeks ago but wouldn't we love £1.10 a litre now. Glad I'm not a taxi driver.

I heard on the news this morning that petrol was now £1.30 a litre!!!

Apparently 57p goes to the supplier and the rest goes in TAX.

I'm getting totally P****D off with Government Ministers then playing the GREEN card as justification. I guess they need it to pay their expenses so they can pay their nannies, 87 year old mothers' and to private companies of whom they're directors & shareholders.

How long have we had these green taxes? How much have we seen the government spend of it on green alternatives?

Drove to Chester and back yesterday and saw prices from 114.9 to 122.9 per litre. Such a large difference makes no sense.

As much as I hate the price of petrol going up, I will always find other ways to cut back.
