Help - Scenic route for a Sunday jaunt from Cardiff?
Discussion
Having moved to Cardiff to be closer to my wifes family a yr ago now, and having spent the last yr doing up our house, I know find myself with a free Sunday!
Me and the wife keep talking about getting out and exploring our new suroundings and now have the chance to do it but havent a bloody clue where to go!
I fancy a nice 2-3 hour scenic round trip perhaps towards Brecon and the beacons with a nice pub lunch.
Any recommendations for a route are most welcome - espcially google map links!!
I'm trying to persuade "er indoors" that the run on the 20th of April is a must too!
Thanks in advance for any help.

Here one that was mentioned earlier. Head for Breacon and follow your nose, you'll not go far wrong.

As an alternative you could head for Ogmore on the coastal roads (Barry - Aiport - Llantiwt Major - Wick - Southerndown - Ogmore). The Golden Cups in Southerndown http://www.tuskasurf.co.uk/ThreeGoldenCups/index.h... and the Pelican in Ogmore are popular http://www.pelicanpub.co.uk/
