OT but... somebody help

First a rant:
How any of the small, consumer facing, businesses I deal with, ever survive is beyond me. most of them never answer their phones, if they do they say they'll return your call but never do and those you get through to act as though your speaking a different language when you ask about a service thats advertised on their webpage or in the the book. Arrgghh! they all deserve bankruptcy as far as I care!!

This frustration has come about as I am trying find someone who will renovate and expand the wood block flooring in my house and so far I've been fobbed off or letdown.
Does anyone in Swansea/Neath know of such a person/firm who'd do this?
