Tyre Help

All, need two rear tyres for the Chim, anyone know somewhere decent in Cardiff where they aren't likely to rip me off. Tried that National place in Vic Park just see what the crack was and although they were very helpful, they didn't normally stock Z-rated tyres and didn't get back to me after I asked. Currently running Toyo Proxes all round.

Not in Cardiff but try Sardis Road Tyres in Pontypridd. They are the cheapest place I know. Had a pair of Pirelli p zeros put on at christmas and they were by far the cheapest.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but how good are the prices at City Tyres?

I'm looking for possibly 4 225/40/18's. (Hopefully it'll just be 2, but i need to get them checked.)

City Tyres are extremely cheap. When I bought my Sport Maxx tyres there, Garth Tyres said he couldn't possibly sell them that cheap. Top service too.

Hi Chugger,

put 4 Toyos on my griff500 back in September, City Tyres fitted them for me but they couldnt get anywhere near the price I found on the internet. Try mytyres.co.uk and camskill.co.uk, both were very good. Pair of 225 section fronts on 15 rims cost 139.00. Pair of 245 rears on 16 rims cost 196.60. One more thing I couldnt get z rated t1-r toyos anywhere; its not a problem though as even the insurance company I'm with okd the lower speed rating. City tyres were always cheap for tyres for my Alfa but their price for the Toyos was way off. Hope this helps.

I think that's because Garth Tyres have the Toyo franchise.
