My pride and joy was involved in an accident yesterday on my way to work, it's looking pretty sorry for itself frown I can only hope it doesnt get written off but my legal team say that its down to what the other guys insurance value the car at, regardless of my agreed value on my policy mad

I wont reveal too many details at this time whilst the claim is ongoing, but needless to say i am the gutted of Cardiff this weekend grumpy

So agreed valuation is a way of them getting more money from you and never having to pay it out? Bugger.

Sorry to hear that Ben, if it's any consolation I wrapped up our company BT50 double cab on Wednesday on the Coldra, only 2 weeks old it was too frown

What makes it worse is that it was my fault too paperbag I did find it amazing how much damage you can do to a Hyundai Santa Fe with a pick up truck at about 20 mph.

Note to self, always watch the car it front at a roundabout, AND the car in front of that one as sometimes they stall when least expected.mad

eta hope all goes well with the insurance claim Ben. smile

Sorry to hear about this Ben frown

I went past it in the car park in work yesterday and wondered what had happened. I hope that it’s just panels to replace and the shell is still straight

After all the work you've put into it that sucks, I hope that it's not a write off!

You got a run around or hire car for the moment?

thanks for your sympathies guys, im a lot more cheery about it all now. Ive been given a VW Passat 2.0TDI hire car whilst my claim is sorted out which is nice. And i think either i do keep the 205 and i rebuild it, using the oppertunity to get some extra tinkering done at the same time, or i use the whole experience as an excuse to move onto the next car in my grand scheme of things - see my fantasy garage lick

Will keep you posted and i'll stick the pictures up when its all said and done

Spend your time looking for a DC2 as there are lots of dogs and many that lived in the 9k rpm their whole life with little service.

Cheers,
