I did the Murcielago calipers over Christmas last year, didn't powder coat though, just painted them and lacquered over the Lamborghini decals. Looked pretty good and relatively inexpensive!!

Did mine about a year ago myself. bought the royal blue high temperature brake caliper paint from halfords [not too expensive if i recall] and took my time doing one corner at a time.just make sure that the caliper is clean and free from grease or dirt or dust and apply with a small "kids" painting brush.I even masked over the tvr logo on the calipers and painted the T.V.R. in gold to match the other bits on my wheels [see profile].not a very good picture of the wheels in my profile but looks cool in the flesh !!blue and gold looks better than black and yellow, easy to keep clean too as it has a gloss finish and just needs a quick wipe with a sponge when washing the car. Have a go .!! thumbup

If you're going to do them yourself, just remember to push the pistons right back and get all the fluid out of the calipers so they don't leak!! Everyone knows how well brake fluid and fresh paint get on!! yes

Thanks for the link, I'll give them a shout. I would do them myself but there is 15 years worth of crud welded to the calipers and really need taking back to the metal!

Worth checking with Ian on timeframe depending on how quickly you need them back,if he is very busy which he normally is they could be some time.

I can give another vote for Ian.

He just swapped the calipers and discs and uprated the hoses with those from a Spec-c Impreza. Very quick, great advice and tidy bloke to boot.

Hmmm, I could do with having the rear calipers done on the 75.

I have a spare set in the garage, so might give him a bell.

Steve, slightly O/T, are you doing the Wheelnuts day @ Llandow?

Unfortunately not. I did the SW-CC day a few weeks back and reckon I really need to get my brakes sorted before going back out on the track.

Shame, really, I'd have loved to have done it, but I just don't think it's sensible.
