Fabia vRS - Fuel Gauge not working or broken
Discussion
Hello...
New hear had a Black 05 Fabia VRS since Friday All in all very happy with it especially in the performance arena, looks well it's ok. Bear in mind I have just come from a GTM Libra...
But, problem help... the fuel gauge has lost it's marbles.. was ok for the first day but then after the car had idled for 10 mins it dropped to empty as did the distance to go thingy. If you catch the needle dropping putting some revs you can get the needle to move up a bit.
From reading around the posts this could be a lose connection, (but I don't think so as it is not movement related) Or a problem with the actual dash, (Not sure as all other dials work fine) Or... the fuel sender is having a laugh, (Think this is a likely suspect, the car is a March 05 but has only done 8,500 miles so it's not exactly had fuel flowing through its pipes much. I have put 500 miles on it in one weekend so its probably in shock lol)
Any info appreciated, as it is off to the dealer on Wednesday, they are in London and I live in Wales... so don't wont too many return trips!
Cheers

Being a 2005 car then it will still be covered under warranty, this can be fixed at any dealer so no need to go heading back to ‘the smoke’ to get it sorted, there are several dealers in the South Wales area.
