I was planning the sell my maserati in about April next year but thought may as well sell now and save on running costs until i buy my new car in march. I originally planned to sell for about £17500, put 5k into a dc2 integra type R (cheap and good reliable fun) but been offered a few part ex's and one has taken my fancy.

Not sure of the year but its a tvr tuscan speed 6, 20k on the clock and due a 6k service in 5k. He will give me a few £'s and the car for my maserati and always wanted one and think they are so beautiful. BUT, what are running costs like and how hard are they to re sell as in march it will be surplus to requirements.

Sure some of you will want to talk me into it lol

Seroiusly as already said read the other tvr forums, there is a whole bunch of usefull stuff there. Don't be frightened but at the same time be realistic on costs of both ownership and running.

Just do it, i guarentee you won't regret it biggrin My future father law had a Tuscan before his Cerbie and said that it was a bit of a beast handling wise but a damm good car that went like hell-fire!

Cardiff the running costs will not be that different to the 3200. MPG is about the same and although servicing is around £600 a throw most will tell you to bank on £1000 a time. The Maseratis engine is more reliable, but you haven't got all those sensors to go wrong as you have with the Maserati.....Personaly not a big fan of the Tuscan, but very fast car with lots os presence....shame it's not a T350.

Just go for it , as advised by others read up on bits to check in the tuscan forum, I have had a Tuscan red rose for 4 years now and think it a fantastic car, long you look after it have it serviced i have not had any problems with mine and done some 15,000 miles in it.

Saying that Cardiff with you only having the car for 4 months I would imagine you did not even scratch the surface on running costswink....Hope you get a good deal/price for the 3200 as you certainly made some improvements to it.

That's a really usefull statement rolleyes

Excluding servicing costs my Mondeo has so far cost me twice that of my Tamora which is a SP6 and goes quite well, has coming up to 20K without issue.
