Any recommendations for somebody/a company who can diagnose an AYC problem with a 2001 Evolution VI?? Seems like when the exterior temp is warm(ish) the Active Yaw Control light comes on occasionally. I'm led to beleive it may be a sensor or possibly a pump but would like to know for definite before I put my hand in my pocket!!

Would rather use an independant over a main agent so any advice would be appreciated!!

BTW, Cardiff, Newport area would be ideal but not essential!!

Thanks in advance

Note to Mods: I posted in the South Wales section as I need a local company, please don't move again! (thanks smile)

Trouble is I think for the AYC stuff you need the factory kit to plug in. When I had an Evo VII Promax in Pontardulais/Llanelli used to look after it for me but I had to go to the main dealer to get the AYC fluid bled.

Not sure if this will be of any help, but I suppose you could give them a try..

Hi

When I had problems with my Impreza I took it to Hyline and they sorted the problems. Car was totally different when I had it back. I believe they specialize in Jap cars only.

As mentioned above, Promax in Llanelli are well versed in the ways of the Evo and the Impreza (they look after my Scooby) and they are doing a lot more with road cars now - give them a bell and ask to speak to Dilwyn 01554 784070.

Worth a call....labour rates are MUCH better than the stealers!!!

I know Autoparts sell the diagnostic equipment and offer a diagnostic service for a small charge - www.apsw.co.uk
