FYI the Rover V8 was originally derived from a General Motors/ Oldsmobile cast-aluminum 215 V8.

It has also been used in the MGB GT V8, Triumph TR8, Morgan Plus 8, various Marcos cars, Bowler Wildcat, Westfield Seight and Dax Rush, amongst others.
