Yet anothe BARGAIN Llandow Track Day 31st March
Discussion
The last track day was a great success and many enjoyed it. So, here's the date of the next one:
31st March
Same style as before, same cost and same procedure to book a place - phone Sharon or Tony, the numbers' on their website at www.llandow.com
Hope we can make it a great day.
John
PS I hope this isn't duplicated!

After that:
31st March 28th April, 19th May, and 16th June
These dates need 15 cars, and are the same costs as above

Has any date been decided as a favoutite to get going with?
For trackday insurance purposes it's important the organiser is a member of a recognised association. Llandow Circuit are.

I would say 19th my for me, but what i would do is just book it, and post it, the numbers will come !

I just got an email from Llandow saying that there was 'last minute testing' this saturday. Half/full days available, but you also need a race licence - which I don't have, lol. So what's the crack?
A test day is different from a trackday. As you said, you need a race licence. Also the rules are different, you are allowed to time laps and you don't have the same niceties regarding overtaking only with consent - you'll get overtaking on the brakes into corners etc. Significantly higher risk of car-car contact. Thanks for clearing that up for me Bob. I might go along for a looksee (if thats allowed) but I sure as sheeyit won't be on track.

That's not really correct from my experience, in fact i'd say it was definitely the reverse, i find trackdays far more dangerous as the difference in speeds varies enormously as does the standard of driving and the quality of the machinery, racers tend to be more aware than your average trackday goer and as such safer, but as mentioned you need a race licence.
