cheers for the welcome,
this may sound like a stupid question but why did you sell th vette for the mustang?

I had an '85 Vette in 1994-1997 and loved it. I imported the Z06 in 2004 looking to recapture some of that fun but Vettes have improved a vast amount and are perhaps a bit too capable these days. In any event, I have two children so after a year of very little use and an expensive garage ornament, I decided I had to have 4 seats (I aslo had a 1998 Camaro Z28 which I loved even more than the Vette if truth be told). The choice was rather limited as they stopped making the Camaro in 2002 so I bought the Mustang and changed the suspension and slapped on a supercharger to give me pretty much the same power/weight ratio as the Z06 and similar (better if you read EVO) handling with far more practicality.
I didn't regret it then and I don't regret it now except I sometimes miss the exotic C5 shape and pop-up headlamps when people fawn over my mate's Z06. Then I tend to think maybe I should have kept it but truthfully, I know I shouldn't. On the other hand, the Z06 never got half the attention of the Mustang which I think tends to be more readily identified with the aspirations of the common man than the more elite (possibly) Corvette.
