Just took an hour and half to travel from Cardiff Bay to the West End of Barry, will not be trying that again. All clear when i left at 7 this morning so no need to take the missus snowmobile, then all hell breaks loose and i'm trying to drive the Tiv up the link road at 15 mph. Sliding all over the place. Then got to Pontypridd road hill and the car gave up, wheels spinning and a queue of cars behind me, just about crawled up the hill and got Trev put to bed. Never again.

Be careful out there peeps

They are sending us home from work and I have to drive though Barry which is in a right state at the moment. I am quite happy to admit that I am way too nervous to take the SX so it can stay in our car park and I am getting a lift with someone that has a FWD car.

The city centre is clogged in almost every direction. It's madness I tell thee!

Took Tony over 2 hours to get home from Cardiff this afternoon!

At least it seems to be thawing off the roads quickly. I've just been to collect my car from work and the roads are pretty clear around here now. Hardly any traffic out there either.

Left my car in Port Talbot....drove to Brecon (via potential car run routes - more recce'ing) in friend's 4x4 tank. Picked up girlfriend who was stranded in work in Brecon, then came back from Brecon to Treforest in about 40 mins....no traffic whatsoever at 4pm! Think the trek to Brecon was a god send as I'd have taken the same length of time to get home at 2pm anyhow. Driving up over Abercraf at 2pm in about 8-10 inches of snow was surreal cool

Shame its melting....but two cars down and just the lotus to trip around in so its probably for the best. Good excuse to drink in the house tho cos I aint driving anywhere tonight

Not sure I will fit a sledge in lotus tomorrow tho...

What a day it was!

Roads were a doddle in the Treg - even with very worn Michelin road tyres! - but the problem was everyone else!!
