Hello all, I've been lurking around here for a while and thought it proper to introduce myself.

Some lovely cars on here.

Oh God, I'm almost too ashamed to admit to what I'm driving compared to some here. It must be the most un-PH car here! It's a Corolla. Lowered. The shame. I don't even drive it much now as the gf takes it for work every day leaving me to take the bus. Shall I leave now?!

I am Phil Jones, but don't drive a gti. I've got a 1998 SR. My excuse is that it was cheap and it's never let me down.

I deserve the ridicule. I must admit I didn't see myself being in this situation 5 years ago. Then I got a woman and a mortgage. Ah well, at least I don't have an overdraft/loan/credit card debt. Might be getting some money for a car from work as part of a relocation package. Trouble is it'll be about £2.5k max! Anyone know of anything decent going for that price?!

Welcome Phil wavey

The good thing about this bunch is that they don't seem to be elitist on the car front. Having said that, I have yet to see their faces when I finally get the Tigra out on a run hehe

No need to be ashamed Phil - nothing wrong with a lowered Corolla

Phil is not about the car, is about the attitude.

Welcome on board.

BTW there are plenty of nice cars for less than £2.500.00

Cheers,

Shame on you Mr Chugger, the poor fella has only just introduced himself and you've got him
divorced, homeless and living in a very unreliable rocket shipnono

Oh how I love my unrealiable rocket ship - warp factor 9 Mr Sulu - make it so.
(Sorry, bit of a Trekkie moment there.)

AnywayWELCOME Phil, get yourself out on next run, it doesn't matter what your driving - we just have a drive, a chat and a laugh. thumbup

Thanks for the welcome guys. I agree that it's not about the car it's the attitude and I hope I have a PH attitude.

Freewheeler - your website doesn't appear to match my budget but thanks anyway!!!

John - there are lowered corolla's and then there's your lowered corolla!
