Points for phone users - will it work?

New fines will come in next month for people who continue to drive whilst on their phones. Do you think 3 points and a £60 fine will deter people?

May not matter as they'll end up disqualified. I wonder how insurers will load the insurance for what is an act of careless driving.

Saw two todat within minutes of getting into the car, The change can't come quickly enough IMHO

They are not getting stopped now so apart from the odd clamp down, how will it work?

There are stacks of people getting done for it, they just keep on phoning because a £30 fine is no deterrant

£60 or points would deter me, but there are plenty (I see them every day on the M4) who wont stop unless they have an accident or get banned.
