On last run some of us spoke about doing a track (driving), firstly who's up for a track visit, secondly any opinions on tracks?

Pembrey Race Circuit

Llandow Circuit

Dave, if you are not adverse to crossing over here into England, Colerne is a bloody great track day thumbup I spent a happy day sliding around there.

Its also bloody cheap for an Open Pit Day.

It's only just off the M4 on the Bath junction so not all that far - about Combe distance really...

All organised very well by Motorsport-Events

Depending on how things go, I shall be ruining the last of my back tyres on the 26th with all the other SW PHers thumbup

It is an airfield track day, but a very well surfaced one at that...

yes combe has strict noise restrictions. And it looks bloody scary (IMO)

I'd be up for a crack at pembrey when i get my bodies on later this year

Combe is known for being one of the fastest circuits in the country, and as a result one of the trickiest - additionally the runout on many of the corners is non existant.

Most cicuits hold a strict 97 or 100db limit - even an airfield in the middle of nowhere...

Tracks = Nicer surface, but less runout, and more to hit
Airfields = rubbishier surface (usually) but bugger all to hit...

yep, ive watched a few events at combe and i've seen many a car come off at quarry, a couple at camp. one at folly even. Not for the faint hearted in my opinion as an experienced spectator!
