Started with a slight rattle which over two or three weeks have developed into a full blown annoying rattle. Result: Two knackered cats. 2 new sport cats being fitted tomorrow along with a new made up system from the cats back at longlife.

Anyone else had these sport cats fitted at longlife?

Dont know about the sports cats but there are a few other places around than Halflife who can do it for you.

I have had a cat back system off them, one for a Vauxhall omega 3ltr v6 and that was ace. but i have had the same on my mr2 and im not 100 % happy with it ! they used less materials on the mr2 but it was a bigger price .also where they put the back box on, the one silencer box has the tig welded seam on display.
Watch out for the main guy he is a proper sales man, and will sell you something you dont really need ! also haggle on the price ! i dont think there pricing is fixed ! also check it before you take it away. ie sound!
as with my omega they said " yes if it is not loud enough bring it back we will make it louder !" but the mr2 was a different story .
How do you want it to sound they asked. I said " loud, full sport" . They said "that will be too loud. Why not have a sport, 1 below" . I don’t think they had the full sport boxes in stock as they were quite pushy on it ! but remembering the omega being able to take it back to make it louder. I asked " if its not loud enough can i bring it back make it louder? . " no " was the answer ! and to be honest I still dont think its loud enough ! it's ok but im not 100% happy with it.
also the price was too much for what i got ! as i could have made it myself for less than half the price ! if i had a day to tinker with the car !

Longlife use poor quality materials ( I know cos They used to buy from me !! ) and charge big money !! I've seen some cars they've done and after 2 or 3 years the exhaust system where rotten. Three of my cars have been done at Pro-speed and I've been nothing but impressed with the quality and the cost.

Think Logie's post is the first bad word I've heard about Pro-Speed!
Long-life were really good quality about 5 years back, but they don't seem to get much good press these days.
Myself and a few mates have all had work done at Pro-Speed though, and both the service and results have been great, can't rate them enough.

I've only heard good about Pro-Speed too.

My personal experience with them has been excellent. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them.

Got two new sport cats fitted along with a new system from the cats and the motor sounds good (well at least I think so). They asked what type of sound I wanted standard, mild sport, sport and full blown loud and, I opted for the mild. Sounds quiet on tickover all low revs but gives a nice note when opened up.

How long it will last is something else for which, I cannot comment on yet so fingers crossed.

Wonglife put a system on my Z28 and it wasn't very good, using several different grades of stainless and it would bang occasionally. I used Pro-Speed for the Mustang - totally leagues ahead and half the price of Wonglife.
